Sweet jesus, Minion. Calm yourself.
Additionally, chealsealina, you can not open WMV in VirtualDub because it is Microsoft's secure video container. It's not allowed by law to edit the WMVs. I do believe there are ways to get your WMV clips working by using AviSynth and the DirectShowSource filter, along with AssumeFPS... at least that's how I would do it.
However, this is not a simple thing.
Lastly, if it's truly XviD or DivX, as long as you have XviD installed, you should be just fine.

And I don't understand the "along with AssumeFPS..." can you explain that to me?
Also to: requiett.... ok I will take your suggestion but it's really bad my English that some Ppol can't understand what I'm trying to say here? well as I know to myself I'm not really gud in English (not like in grade school I say) but I think everyone can get what I mean if I explain here, am I rite? And ok I will use alot of smiley here like you say but hope it's not look like I'm annoying other ppol?

When I open my virtualdub and open my vid .avi file window pop up and say like this
So what's should I do? and also I read the Glossary am I rite in that link yeah? but still I'm confused. Plz HELP !!! I will not close my virtual or even touching it to be sure I did not mess anythingAlert Window *VBR audio stream detected*
*?*
VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file (audio stream 1).
The current preference is to rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 26 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 128.0 = 0.5 kbps)
Do you still want to rewrite the header?

I did what Scintilla told me to download and install the XviD in my laptop and also he say that I will not having problem to open my file but it did happen againCoun't locate decompressor for format "DIV3" (Microsoft High-Speed MPEG-4 V3 [Hack: DviX Low Motion])
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Window Media Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct stream copy' is available for this video.
[OK]
Beside it happen this to me before when someone told me to use vdub after he help me something he leave me like in nowhere and confusing in this thingy so so tell me what I should do in this VdubMod to open and play the video file

regarding your audio problem.
the avi container does not really support vbr (variable bit rate) audio streams. (you can do it, but it's not advised. This is what's known as a "hack")
there are a few ways to deal with this (the best options use programs other than virtualdub), but I don't have the time to go through them.
as for the div3 thing...this is what fourcc.org has to say:
looks like it's still divx though. the link the site gives

the warning message that vdub gives you even tells you that it's a hack.low motion codec (optimised for low motion source material?). Several sources tell me that this is an old and illegal codec that should not be used to encode new material.
