Any good Songs For AMVs?
Just wondering if people can reply some songs that are good for AMVs but mostly songs with timings. Song Example:Numb, In the End, Explosive, Still waiting, Hellsong etc etc
I dont mind wat type of music it is as long it has a part where i can place a timing (mostly on the chorus os the song)

Have you tried Linkin Park - Papercut, or perhaps Linking Park - One Step Closer? I think Linkin Park - Lying from You and Linkin Park - My December would be good too. Oh, and don't forget about Linkin Park - Xcutioner and Linkin Park - Faint. I think that's all...
P.S. Try Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong or Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit, or even Linkin Park - Hit the Floor!

mm, middle eastern music would be hard to time to. and indian classical music has some nasty polymeters.

"Holic" by Taq: You never knew 7/8 could make such a good meter for arrow-stomping.Otohiko wrote:Down with 4/4!
"The Least 100sec" by Hirofumi Sasaki: I don't know what-all is going on with the tonality in this one (it's still diatonic, yes, but the center keeps jumping around), but it's still good (I can just imagine this going to some kind of racing animé, oslt), and the long version ("The Least 333sec") is freakin' awesome.Otohiko wrote:We must overthrow the diatonic system!

Every piece of music can be made into an AMV. It just takes some imagination, creativity, and exploration to see ways to manipulate the footage to fit the music.
as for the music:
Don't fall under the trap that you have to use the songs as is. If you have a copy, open it up on a sound editor and modify it to your own liking. Too fast-slow it down, to slow-speed it up, too loud, not enough emphasis? etc. Change it.
If you want to be even more fancy, do some audio tweaking by recalibrating the room types or audio distortions.
