Has this ever happened to you?

Post by Naruto Fan » Wed Jan 17, 2007 4:29 am

Your on a website say like Youtube and you see a anime vid that you made and the person that put the vid on there didn't say that he/or she didn't made the vid. So really they are just taking credit for you vid? I had that happen to me on YouTube which i saw a lot f my vids on there but there was this one guy who was taking credit for my vid they didn't even say anything like 'This is not my vid' or 'I didn't make this' and it sort of made me mad. He could have at least said that he didn't make it. Well my question to you guys is have that ever happen to any of you?
Revenge is like a poison it can take us over and before you know it, it can turn you into something ugly.

The name of the site i put down was deleted i guess and something else was put on there instead that's why it says...boochsack...

It happens a lot. Especially on That Site. We can't say the name of That Site here because it is an evil site we want nothing to do with. Hence the word filter.

If someone here were taking your vids, you could report them to the mods. Over There no one cares, nothing will be done to the person, and you can flag their entire collection of raw episodes and stolen videos and they'll still be posting new vids tomorrow. Get used to it or stop going to that site. Nothing else you can really do Over There.

Not happened to me, since my videos aren't good enough to be ripped off of, but I've noticed a few fellows stealing the glory for themselves. It's not that bad, though, since you can't download any files from there within proper quality.

i've had my stuff posted without permission, but never with credit taken or bumpers cut off.
the only reason i bother asking them to remove it is boochsack plays videos out of sync often, and i don't want my videos misrepresented

it's more common practice to upload videos that aren't yours on youtube, so it may be assumed on youtube that he didn't create it if he doesn't indicate it in the video description or something.

much in the same way that many amv viewers assume the music and video sources used in amvs weren't created by the editors taking credit for the amv, and many amv creators don't bother citing their sources in their vids.

if you are still concerned about your vid on youtube, contact the uploader through youtube, or if that doesn't work, use the flag as inappropriate link (since it contains copyrighted material).

there is more truth to this statement than sarcasm...

just because they didnt credit you doesnt mean that they are taking credit.
they could have just uploaded the videos that they like.

I'm actually surprised that all five copies of The Purpose of Persocoms posted over there all say that either I made it or admit that it's not theirs.
