Okay, let's do it!
(some quoted from sKy's suggestions)
"Make whatever you use to sync to the "Woo-woo!" stand out more"
So, i totally agree with sKy on this, you should make something to make it more visible (sync-wise too). Maybe make them a little bigger (these are masks from the scene, are they?), i don't know, i'll contact you if anything good hits my mind.
"The overlay around 0:13 looks kinda...I dunno, intrusive? It doesn't really fit, IMO"
Yeah, that overlay does not fit well at all. You should remove it and go on with syncing with cuts, but they seemed a little off sync too, maybe you should sync new scenes to every beat, or new scenes to every second beat while keeping the main scene running synced to the other every second beat (is it understandable?
)
"Lip flap (0:15)?"
Maybe, you decide, i don't find it that disturbing with CG graphics, but you might considering changing it.
- Stray frame at 0:02 (this is the one you mentioned i guess), and another one at 0:10, please kill these.
- 0:10 i see that you motion-synced the girl stepping down the stairs, but could you also make some white flashes over it? It might look better that way.
- at 0:17, could you crop the video at the transition so that the black bars won't go with the video itself.
But the biggest problem with it that it is not even near 720x460 aspect ratio.
The file itself is 640x480, but that wouldn't be that big of a problem, because my footage is based on 640x480 as well, but i can crop it down to 640x432, which is almost the same as 720x480. But the video (i mean the real video footage) is only 640x360... i don't know how i could make it look like 640x426 without distortions. Check it out if you can render it differently or we must cut out from the sides to fit it in - but zooming that much would definately cause video quality loss. We must solve it somehow, check it out as soon as possible!
