I checked it out. Definately not bad, I enjoyed it. Some of the effects were eh, but it was worth watching.

The effects were alright and you had some nice timing. The beginning had some beats off with the lines you were using to sync up with the guitar. I think the song you used was alright, but I think a lot of the clips you used were not really that great. I mean it is nice to have action sequences with DBZ, but the song was a little light for you to use such scenes. I think it would have been better without those, it would have more a feel of a "father's love". I still give you a 3/5 for the effects and whatnot ;)

I used to watch a lot of these kind of videos, kinda drama action vids done with Dragonball Z. Most a lot worse than this one, with no timing and very little coherent images. So it definately wasn't horrible, it has decent sync and some decent effects. Also you did give a big effort.

Having said this there were some major flaws. The first was the effect at the beginning that didn't look that good and served no purpose. The other that you should really look at was not technical but conceptual. Others have pointed this out. I think the song was wrong or very hard to use for what you were trying to tell as its more of a Vegeta song than a Gohan and it was definately not a Goku song, I do admire though that you didn't try and do the obvious. You could have pulled it off to some extent by purely focussing on Gohan, maybe with some flashbacks of his father. Because this song is sung by the same person in the first person, I found it confusing to switch between characters. I also believe that you could have replaced a lot of the action for more dramatic pieces, maybe by showing that Gohan was too scared to fight. Something like the bridge, which I liked, but then more of lead up to it, emotionally.

All in all a decent action vid, but sadly lacking in the concept you were trying to convay. Keep at it en veel succes met verdere projecten.

"Let's pretend it's not," said Rabbit, "and see what happens."
