i need help with dvd footage not ripping properly

i am tring to rip footage from burst angel and gun slinger girls using mac the ripper but the footage is coming out with the english version and japanese version on top of each other about a second apart. and the episodes are not ripping as whole episodes. I found that only funimation products are set up this way. What can i do is there anoter program i should use keep in mind i am using an apple G4 dual prosesser. Or is it some thing in the settings that i can change. I need help!!! Oh and when it plays back it plays both the english and japanese versions at the same time about a second apart skipping back and forth between the two>
