if i can't hide it, i'll try to find a solution for it.
MAN! I guess that you are thinking to complicated.
There is such an easy solution. Well ok it isn´t so easy for Vegas, but still easy.
Uhm... what you need is a static not moving bmp you place after the movement of the guys.
So how do I get a "screenshot" or single frame out of Vegas? That´s a good question.
There is something called render image sequence (or in that direction). I currently don´t know were it is (because I have not Vegas on my system), but with this little "tool" you can capture single frames out of your project. A few parameters, an output directory and there you go.
Maybe Ben knows were it is or look at the help files. I think it was in the tools or extra section, but I don´t remeber.

I'm well aware of this method, i used it a couple of times, i don't use Vegas to get the wanted frame out of the video, i use VirtualDub for that, although Vegas already has a little icon for this, it's called screenshot or something like that. The problem with this method is that sometimes you can see the transition between the video and the single frame in the output too, mainly its because the picture file you get isn't the same quality as in the video (it works fine with VirtualDub though).
The method i use recently is to slow down the motion in the clip, slow it down till you get only one frame, it's 100% that there is no quality change between the two scenes (the video and the one-frame slowed down video).
But the solution i mentioned would mean that i'd put another scene there, or something else, i don't know for now.

Wow, your piece rocked already Kaxi, and now it's just divine stuff. The lip-flap, by the way, didn't bother me at all. However, once again, it physically pained me to see the "Nur Getraumt" unlip-synched, and I'm honestly surprised no one else has agreed with me. To me, that could be remembered as the THE moment of the MEP. And just in case you don't want to try it because lip-synch isn't your forte (I don't get near it myself :P), we do happen to have the best lip-syncher the org has seen on the team, by the name of viper1255.

Great work, anyway :D

Thanks for your comments Greg! :D
It's not that i didn't wanted to lip-sync it - i do think that it would be nice to have it lip-synced - but i already had the scenes and effects for that part, and just changing the scenes to a lip-sync scene, or mask out a lip-synced character would just take away a lot of space from the screen. But if you really want to see something like that, i'll take a look if i can find something for the lip sync there - but i'm not promising anything.

Personally, I'd have the first lip-sync of "Nur Getraumt" be one of the background clips behind the circle, and have a superimposed cut-out of Rosette yelling it on the second, so as to not mess up your scene selection, or crowd the screen too much. I'm grateful you'll consider it :)

And i thought i already told everybody that wmv would be also good - so if you can't encode in lagarith, no problems, pick the codec you can get the best video quality in, and send your segment in that. I think wmv is good for this (set the best video quality settings).

I know that your comp hates mp4, it just that i couldn't get this version into a good xvid file, some codec errors on my comp now :S, but i'll give you an xvid version as soon as i can get one.

P.S.: your beta was great, nice work.

Kaxi wrote: To CracktheSky: really good work sKy, i really have no complaints about it, so if you say you're done, i'm okay with that. If this is the best quality you can get, i'll try to use this file, so if you have problems with lagarith, just compress it too something that makes the best video quality, i'll try to use that.
Oh, good God no. I am DEFINITELY going to compress that to Lagarith, WMV sucks. I'm also going to make a few subtle changes, mostly timing-related. It should be uploaded somewhere by this weekend, or even a day or two from now. I'll check out your beta now and give any advice, suggestions, or praise in a bit ^_^

Diagree.
The best lip syncer is kurt with this amv:

no one has answered this besides Danielle
Lagarith works best when you don´t change anything. Launch the render menu of your project, choosse Lagarith and ready to render! Yeah of course you have to change fps and ressolution, but that´s not Lagarith´s beer.
O_O, I tried 10 times and it always ended without audio and in slow motion. (and 187 Mb size, though I knew that it was going to be big XD)
The size is normal the rest not. Get yourself the newest version of the codec. If this doesn´t work ether... Get yourself Huffy and render with this looseless codec.
I think wmv is good for this (set the best video quality settings).

wmv for the final segments? This was a joke, right? Just try Huffy instead of Lagarith.
