My best advice: <I>"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."</I>
If version 1.0 works fine for you, don't rush to upgrade. Take your time, and look around on lots of different websites for reviews. (Try searching Google). Most people on this site like Premiere, so version 2.0 may not get a review for a long time, if ever.
Also, your signature image breaks forum rules, so it's probably going to get removed. (Read the info on the site index page.)

Re: Video Factory 1.0 VS Video Factory 2.0
Do they still sell v1.0? I've used both; using v2.0 on my current project.Beoulve wrote:which is better? is 2.0 better than 1.0? i was planning on buying 1.0, but they released 2.0 ...
If you don't have v1.0, get v2.0. It's a little more stable wrt memory management. It also has more built-in's: solid color and multicolor (adjustable) backdrops, small set of customizable masks, preprogrammed credit rolls, more options for text creation and placement, a few more special effects. Other than that it's basically the same as v1.0. Also, they added capabilities to rip WAV files from CDs and to write CDs directly from VF (haven't tried that function).

Re: Domo!
Sonic Foundry has a demo version you can download:
http://www.sonicfoundry.com/PRODUCTS/Ne ... sp?PID=490
The limitations are listed there. Unfortunately, it's a function-limited demo, not a time-limited one.
If you want reviews, you can find them out on the Web. Try a www.google.com search for "video factory review sonic foundry". Or go to amazon.com and search for "video factory"; some users have posted reviews about it.
