i dont see any vids in your profile, so what gives you the right to complain about someone elses editing?evirus wrote:good god i have seen some crappy AMVs but whats on boochsack takes the cake, i swear i cant stand these people who think its alright to put flash frames in the video so it can match up with the music, linked below is a video that gives me a headache because it zooms in and out, every single little clip in the music video and people actualy thing its good! whats the world comming too!

even people who dont edit themselves have a right to an opinion, now wheather or not your respect that opinion is up to you...Prodigi wrote:evirus wrote:i dont see any vids in your profile, so what gives you the right to complain about someone elses editing?
i have a few friends who dont edit, but they do know what they consider good or bad...
i mean if you dont paint does that mean you cant have an opinion on painting?
if you dont make tv shows, does that mean that you have no right to say that a show sucks?

The first time I saw an AMV was amazed! I loved it! I think I spent most of that con just watching AMVs. I rushed home and discovered that I had WMM2 on my PC. I threw together an out of focus off time slide show of anime girls and was very pleased with myself.
I’ve seen people go nuts over CN watermarked, lip flapping, subtitled, no discernable story line, Naruto/LCNPK AMVs on the tube.
A lot of it depends on what you’ve seen in the past. Today, I wouldn’t watch past the first 15 seconds of my first AMV.
Whatever floats your boat!

Pray 4 peace! Not an AMV, something you can do to help!

what i ment by that comment is just that, its vary "noobish" if you will, instead of using a bunch of in program effects to match the video with the music, he could have found some better animation to fit in, or make used clips that fits in with what the song is about.Prodigi wrote:i agree with you, but my response was more in reply to the comment he left on that video on boochsack:
its the most amaturish shit someone can do when making a video it looks like total crap are you blind?
now my problem isn't the fact that the guy used the effects, my problem is he over used them and made them way to visable.
theres nothing wrong with slightly speeding up or slowing down a clip so long as it dosn't look compleatly fake to a new viewer(slow= you can make out the actual frames, fast= everything moves unrealistically fast)
the same goes with zooming, fast zooming which you see in this video compleatly unrelated to whats happening in the clips, also the thing he should have avoided is zomming to the point in which the boarders of the video are exposed as well as other artifacts like station logos and subtitles are exposed. and again the over use, you see the zooming crap done over and over in the video, after a minute of watching it its like "ok yes we know you can zoom in and out with your editor, you can stop anytime"
