Eizou Hakusho (new YYH animation)
So I just found out about this Eizou Hakusho a few minutes ago. For those that may not know, it's new animation they added for the series. From what I gathered, some of this "new animation" is from the series, and some of it takes place after the last episode. I was wondering if anybody had any concrete information as to what this "Eizou Hakusho" really is, and if there are any DVD's with this stuff or if anybody has any info on how to get this stuff. Thanks.

It doesn't look like either of those is the one with the "after the anime" footage. I've heard about that one, but last I heard it still has never been released on dvd. It was released as a vcd (something like that) originally in Japan and never again.
The ovas they're talking about are
1) the Dark Tournament ova - new footage: Koto interviewing the gang and the gang taking a group picture, the rest is just recaps of the DT arc, and maybe a slide-show music video of official art for the series set to one of the 'homework' theme songs
2) the four character shorts, new footage - an animated music video for each
I don't think the second one even includes the YumeYume ovas - the "dream" ones.
So, there's still the "after the anime" ova missing, and possibly the dream ovas.
You can get the 4 music videos and 4 of the dream ovas on these two dvds, Japanese-only, at Play-Asia.com:

-this is Hiei & Kuwabara's music videos, recaps of their best scenes, and two dream shorts
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-a7- ... 0-hmo.html
-Kurama & Yusuke's music videos, recaps, and two more dream shorts
I think they have the DT ova, too, but you only get two very short new clips out of a whole bunch of recapped footage.
/mods - if those are bootlegs, delete the links. As far as I can tell, they look like legit Japanese-region dvds. They're certainly expensive. ^^;

Ugh, Region codes suck major ass. I remember stumbling upon a site one time that had music videos, I think the ones your talking about. I remember the Yusuke one having the Dead or Alive Fighting God song and really horrible animation thrown in.Arigatomina wrote:It doesn't look like either of those is the one with the "after the anime" footage. I watch those two dvds on my computer - they play fine in VLC player, sometimes they'll play in Windows Media Player 9.Cornwiggle wrote:Ugh, Region codes suck major ass.
The main problem with region 2 is they won't play in old dvd players - I have a new portable one that claims to play anything and it's still not compatible.
If you're getting the dvds for footage, though, all you need is your computer and DVDDecryptor - that thing can decrypt *anything*. It just pops up a warning about the region before it does the same thing it always does with a dvd. ;p

And none of that at all would be a problem if only my computer HAD a DVD drive. Only at my school campus can I ever rip my own DVDs and it's a pain to rip them then try to get them back to my house. >_> A DVD Drive would be so awesome.Arigatomina wrote:I watch those two dvds on my computer - they play fine in VLC player, sometimes they'll play in Windows Media Player 9.Cornwiggle wrote:Ugh, Region codes suck major ass.
