Say I import my paid for CD to WMP

Post by OzzieAlThor79 » Thu Feb 08, 2007 1:57 pm

and then use said WMA file in Windows Movie Maker 2. Am I destroying said audio? I haven't heard any loss to the quality of the audio since importing it into Media Player.

I would also assume there's less chance of my audio running into problems during editing since it's a Windows file now basically.

Am I on something or onto something?

You may not hear it, but the loss is there (unless you ripped it as WMA Lossless) and will only be compounded when you compress the audio again for distribution. You're better off ripping to an uncompressed .WAV and using that instead.

That'd be a nice change of pace. Capturing my footage is taking me forever. For the life of me I can't get my Eva (original realse) footage to look decent. So something working SIMPLY would be an *awesome* change of pace.
