Look... I understand you not trying to put in some kind of story or message or meaning into this. You wanted to make it fun and pretty and not serious.
The problem is... this video isn't fun.
That song inherently cries out to be connected with some kind of story or message or meaning. Why do you think Nickelback is used so much? It's angstiness matches the angst of a lot of anime.
Trouble is, angst isn't a lot of fun. If it were, emo kids would have a lot more friends. So if you don't try to make use of the emotions of the song, which you yourself admitted you didn't, you're left with nothing entertaining.
The only way this AMV could be fun is if I turned the volume all of the way down, and at that point, I might as well just watch the anime.
And if you're gonna call me a know-it-all prick or something, you might wanna go hang out with a guy named Uwe Boll. I think you guys would get along well... you might have a lot in common.
