Exporting from Premiere Pro with VDM?

Post by BauziOLD » Thu Feb 15, 2007 6:49 am

Heho,

SQ said something in one thread about a programm to export with VDM out of Premiere.
I know there is a program out there that allows me to use VirtualDub to export from Premiere for me(and I keep forgetting what it's called)
This sounds interessting to me, beacause:
-I could export much more without problems I have with Premiere. Hey I could render full projects and not 30 second parts =D
-I maybe could directly export in XviD for betas.

If this programm also uses VDM to render the clips for preview (well I don´t think so, but maybe it´s possible), I wouldn´t get the well known avs memory problems.

I hope that someone knows more about this programm that seams to be quite usefull. ^_^

It's the Debugmode Frameserver.

To use it, you have to make sure to change your export video type from "Microsoft AVI" to "Debugmode Frameserver" or whatever the option is called. This confused me for a while, because the frameserver is also on the list of codecs for the Microsoft AVI export type, yet that way doesn't work.

I have used it before when Premiere Pro wouldn't export correctly the normal way (which, I should add, has only happened once for me so far), and it worked just as it was supposed to. Set the VDM compressor to HuffYUV and let it rip.
