Video effects in Premiere 2.0
A quick question.
Using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, and I'm having a little trouble. (The last version I used was 5.5) I'm attempting to overlay a dust and scratches effect for my opening title sequence. I'm not really seeing the effect after rendering, though. Might it be because my titles are white on a black screen?
Any help would be appreciated.

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0
Hello, I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 also trying to do a similar effect. When I paste into a new sequence my computer will crash, every time. How much RAM do I need to be using this? I only have 1GB RAM could that be the issue?
... Doh!

i have 512 megs of ram and while 2.0 is slow at times it doesnt crash.
also, rroomig, have u checked the effects window for that effects? u should be able to turn up the intensity of the scratches/dust etc, that might make a difference, however, if the effect itself is not showing up at all then go with what was said before, turn the intro into a new sequence and add the effect to that

Oh it'll crash alright
I run out of system memory and I've set 3 gigs of hd space as virtual and 2 gigs real ram...
How do I set it up so it doesn't eat all my system memory [gah]

could be a keyframing problem?rromig wrote:A quick question.

i use premiere 6.5 though... cause i like editing with 512 megs of ram and not having the program lag or crash...
other then keyframes i would have to see exactly what you are trying to do *screenshot?* and i may be able to pick thru and figure out what the problem is.. if its on another layer it could be a transparency problem... if its just an effect problem, if your using an effects pack that you installed seperatly from premiere then it could be a broken effect... or if you downloaded your premiere *not saying you did* then it could be a bad install... although those are both doubtful... their slight possibilites.. its probably just something simple though...
