So Hello
I have a problem with Premiere Pro 1.5. I put some scense into the projekt and want to play it but i see short time the first frames and then the picture stopps, but the music goes on.
Can it be that i change the script and it comes the problem, or is it a great program problem that i must reinstall it...
I hope you understand what i want to say and you can help me, in an other forum i get no answer >_>
Prgram hang of when i play.

what codec is your footage encoded with?
and what are your project settings?
I'm thinking that your preview codec is the problem here.
there are some codecs (like cinepack codec by radius) that are bad/slow for previews. suggested codecs to use for video preview are picvideo MJPEG codec, or huffyuv.
you should also choose "video for windows" as the playback mode.
the only reason that an avisynth script should stop working is if you make a change to it while premiere is open...other than that it should work.
...but if you are using an avivsynth script that includes several resource-intensive functions like vmtoon, your editing can be slowed down. (possibly playback too)

i'm gonna guess that the parts that don't play have some sort of effect on them, yes? you have to render clips that have been altered in order to view them
double click the space at the top of the timeline window, and you should see arrows appear on each side. drag those to the area you want to preview. now right click that area, and render work area.
the area above turns blue, showing that it's rendered. it can play now.
as far as speeds, huffy is faster than lagarith. i'm not sure how fast compared to MJPEG, since i never use it.

so first, i use huffyuv as codec, but i use the vobs in the script not avi or mpeg.
One Problem is, that it runs to days ago... but how not.
That is my script.
SetMemoryMax(16)
mpeg2source("C:\SAMURAI 7 - VOL. 1\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.d2v",cpu=4)
Telecide(order=0)
Crop(8,0,-8,-0)
converttoyv12()
lanczosresize(640,480)
I dont know if i change the script while premiere was opern, but after a restart, the problem must gone, right?
And i render all clips, that cant be it.
