The fact is it will give creators (potentially) more control over the sort of exposure they want to get. Which I personally see as a pretty good idea.
I don't think this neccesarily offends the idea of 'completism' that you're basically stressing here Sarah - I myself am a completist and would certainly agree with the 'if you don't think it's worth uploading, don't' - but that's not what this is about. This is more an issue of "if you want to see some of my videos, you should see this, this and this and here's the quick link". Considering how many people actually do that in their profiles (that is, highlighting certain aspects of their work), it certainly sounds like a very logical idea to say the least.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

So that's one vote against the idea...DivineQueenYeiweh wrote:This would cut my 69 vids down to about 5

We're allowed to control what the audience watches and likes? AWESOME.Otohiko wrote:The fact is it will give creators (potentially) more control over the sort of exposure they want to get. Which I personally see as a pretty good idea.

Sarcasm aside, I think it's unreasonable to expect to control what others watch and like. I wish so hard that I hadn't made the only popular-for-2-seconds-18-years-ago video I did, because it's crap and I'm sick of hearing about it from illiterate 12-year-olds, but you know what? I made it, and now I just have to live with being a one-trick pony. That's a valuable life lesson, kids. People are going to do what they want, whether you want them to or not.
I think listing videos from most to least recent is a stellar idea. Other than that, if a viewer can't read a "Watch these, they're the best" note in your profile, do you really want them as a fan? *shrug*
But I'm done bitching about this. Looks like it's going to happen, and I think that's a shame, but majority rules.
