I'm just looking for some confirmation that Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum would be a pretty good editing system for someone who is just starting out and doesn't need anything too fancy.
Will it get the job done?

...um...if you're "just starting out"...a BOOK might be a better choice. Make sure you don't have any disillusions about the software doing most of the work or magically being able to edit for you...because it can't. Frequently I find people who make ASSumptions about software, assuming a lot of the "neat stuff" they see can just be easily churned out with expensive enough software...they usually learn the hard way that it isn't so. Really if you can't make a kick ass looking video using Windows Movie Maker...yeah...expect LESS of yourself when using professional (or approaching professional) grade software.Yusaku_02 wrote:I'm just looking for some confirmation that Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum would be a pretty good editing system for someone who is just starting out and doesn't need anything too fancy.
