I'd like your thoughts on something involving Naruto

Hey, I was wondering if anyone thought there were many similarities in Naruto (the anime) to books that you've read, and if so which books.

Do you count manga as books? If so, Naruto is like the Dragon Ball/DBZ mangas, but less ninja-like. O:

There is? The art style, flow, story feel soo different!

Oh.. the series is long.. so yeah.. clone. Vegeta gets butt hurt like Sasuke.. so ..clone.. naruto had no parents.. HOLY SH**!! Same with goku.. Clone.. so now you see all the reason why they pretty much are.. the same thing.

My statement has nothing to do with the fact that ALMOST EVERY ACTION SHONEN STORY IS SIMILAR. O:

The main character is a perky young boy who comes off as incompitent but has a uncontrolable transformation that owns everything? Inconcievable! What's more, the story jumps ahead to a time when the main character can control/doesn't use said form and is now one of the strongest people in the world by their own right? What's that? Still stronger people appear who are brought down by the main character's innate battle sence and big trick move? This is the most original story ever! O:

hehe....well that wasn't exactly what I was looking for as its still related to the source material. But thanks for the post.
