Making babies

Seriously, he's got two kids now. I believe he's been AWOL most of the time due to this.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I said that a key was posted, not that I did it. It was Lantis who posted it (and the crypto method used) first.

I wasn't paying attention to IRC, then, Mr. Picky-face. YOU WILL NOT LESSEN MY VICTORY.

I remember you! People don't generally realize that others change over time and regret past mistakes, so I wish you best of luck with that.

Anyway, actually the semifinal voting for the VCAs is going on right now. That would probably give you a really good idea of what's being done these days in terms of editing.

The social end of The Community moved to IRC (and Skype?) when the old OT forum closed. They could fill you in over there, I bet.

I'm reluctant to view new AMVs. About two years ago, (around the time I dropped off the face of the planet) I couldn't make that emotional connection. That connection between the music and the video. The one you need to enjoy the AMV. And I haven't been able to since. Maybe once I get back into the game and editing I can enjoy videos again. But until then I'm going to avoid AMV watching, at least until I get a new video out.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

So... you're interested in what they're like, but don't want to watch them yet? Hmm...

I don't think that much has changed in two years, really. Effects are often less obvious/CG-ey than they were for a while there. "Euphoria" is still the template for most non-comedy videos. "AMV Hell" is still the template for most comedy videos, spawning single-editor single-series videos as well as MEPs. MADs/Japanese AMVs are still influential, but not as much as "Euphoria" and "AMV Hell."

Lots of Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi videos; they replaced the Azumanga Daioh videos, I guess. Some interesting branching out into weird lesser-known series. Music is all over the place.

...or I misunderstood the question and the question is all gossip-related, in which case I do recommend IRC. It's where the org's soul is these days; the forums and the AMVs are just a spinoff of chat.

(Oh, and AD isn't forgiving about who can post on the forums, because he's out. I think he switched to live-action fan video editing.)
