KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.
Minion: masturbate into someones desk and giggle about it for the remaining 28 minutes

For anyone else who may need the info, since I told this to Minion on IRC:

This is a case of the key failing to crack to encryption on the vob.

I've encountered ripped m2v footage from various ps2 games that also resemble the pic posted above. Could the explanation you provided also be applied to that as well? Just curious.

Yes. It's the same principle exactly. They're both forms of MPEG video, if I recall correctly, and so I'm sure the encryption methods are similar, if not the same.

Also, Minion solved this issue by using another ripping program that found the correct key. My suggestion, sayde (nice to hear from you again, you're always a pleasure to help) would be to do the same, assuming multiple game rippers exist. Having never ripped ps2 footage specifically, I don't know how common the software type is.

This actually happened to me on a few episodes of Hellsing. I tried using DVD Decrypter instead of SmartRipper on those episodes, and it worked.

I understand. Thanks a lot for your time and the informative reply Kionon. It's nice to hear from you again too. It's also nice to see you're still as helpful as ever.
