Yeah. That sucks. Why post here trying to drum up more people who don't want to watch poorly compressed crap? To beat the dead horse (oh, wait, we already beat it to dust, it's not even here anymore) some more, I'd rather throw up before posting my stuff on youtube. :/

Boochsack is still a fast way to show videos. You actually don't have to sign up and you don't have to download anything and you can still watch amv's. For those reasons I think it's still worth downloading your vids on boochsack so that your friends ,for example, who are not active on this page still see your work^^

You make a very good point here. No fiddling with codec packs, or with custom video players, installing software, or anything. Just hit the webpage and hit play.

I think people in this thread and elsewhere are loosing sight of the fact that hosting your AMVs somewhere other then on the ORG is perfectly okay. It's called a DIRECT link, and in fact it is the only way roughly half the videos get downloaded here.

The real issue here is that the people don't create video profiles for their videos. I wonder... can you list a goobtube as a 'indirect' download link?

you DO download the video, the only differance is you have to go though a bunch of trouble if you want to KEEP the low quality video.

you DO have to install extrenious programs and codecs to view them. Try going to watch youtube video without any sort of flv plugin.

you DON't get to compress the video yourself so often the synch is off during the automated process there is NO control on your part.

What the fuck are you babbling about? You have no choice but to use their custom video player, just try getting WMP or winamp or VLC or whatever player you prefer to show a tube video. You do have to download and install software for the tube, IE and Firefox can not play their videos without some sort of pluging having been installed. If we're going to debate the merits of the tube (which is a vastly overdone debate but whatever) then can we at least deal with reality instead of whatever lala land fantasy you want the tube to be?
