So it doesn't work? Is that what you're saying? Is it only the lack of editing? How about the concept? I asked if there were any redeeming qualities here, I'm not really sure why you keep posting vague 2 sentence replies, but that seems to be your style so I'll let you express yourself in the way you see fit. If you're open to answering the questions I've asked by all means please do so, otherwise just give me an honest opinion maybe, I can't get better unless I figure out what's wrong with my vids.NerdStrudel wrote:Well the thing about yoru vid. Is that it seems like you barely edited it. Like...You Didn't try. Found some somewhat appropriate scenes and slapped em up on it.

kids these days... cant appreciate "old timey style amv editing" O.o
thing is these days with a song like the one you chose they expect to see tons of action scenes and tons of fast cuts... so that the images "flow" with the high tempo and hardcore guitar sounds...
so sticking to "lyric sync" and story telling with a song like this they get all butthurt and angsty...
truthfully though I'm not a fan of either source, I kinda liked it... it had a good mood sync and good story telling, the cuts werent THAT long (like some people are making them out to be) and they didnt seem all that random to me...
(it still ammuses me to this day to see papa roach cause when i was in highschool they were still a local band, and i remember someone in one of my clubs suggesting to book them for a fundraiser lol)
my favorite part was at 3:13 where you cut to all the different explosions... it was a good effect imo.

I apologize if I came across as defensive, as it was not my intent. I would like you to better define what you are saying to me so I can understand it because there has obviously been a failure to communicate here. Keep in mind that is no reason for you to come into my thread and insult people who are giving me polite opinions of the video.NerdStrudel wrote:...How much more do you fucking need. I've told you what you need to do. But you keep calling it vague and getting all defensive
Since the beginning of the thread this is what you have had to say about the video:
- Needs to have more then just poor Lyric synch. (The video didn't have any intentional lyric sync at all btw, I'd like to know where you saw lyric sync!)
- Needs better flow throughout the vid. Need to match more beats and such. (why exactly is this a requirement of a "good" AMV again?)
- Needs to be edited more (I don't know what you mean here)
So the last two points are sort of the same thing. I'm not really sure what else you've said about the video so maybe if the case is that there are more things for me to improve upon you could outline them for me?

I do like how you criticize people for "mocking" his video and tell them to give him feedback, but can't be bothered yourself. But alright, let's drop it, thread doesn't need to be locked yet.NerdStrudel wrote:I don't expect To see tons of action. But I just don't think it was good. Just so bland. And frankly I'm not gonna go back and Watch it to tell you every little thing because I didn't like it. Whatever ppl think idc. Lets just drop it

What happened to opinions? He has his opinion, you have yours. I'm not going to shove a grenade down your throat if you don't like euphoria.DaCoolGohan wrote:You'd be nowhere, since you obviously don't know how amazing this video is.Dark Confusion wrote:What a bundle of joy he is. Eh, OK, I'll give this video a try and try to leave some detailed feedback. I checked it out really quick out of curiosity but since I was in the middle of doing other things, I didn't see the whole thing, but from what I remember, it had really good visual quality. It did look like you tried to deinterlace it though. Akira is 23.976 frames a second, progressive. For some reason though the very beginning of akira has interlacing frames but later on it is completely progressive. Basically about 90% of akira is progressive. I'll get back to this though and let you know what I thought of it
