Post by Lolliepop » Tue Mar 20, 2007 10:12 pm

Ok well here it is when I first got this computer all the AMVs I downloaded worked like the Slayers Ordinary Day AMV...so then my sister starts downloading songs onto her disc so she is able to play them in her vehicle (she did it on Windows Media Player and watch AMVs on Windows Media Player) so then i try to watch the slayers AMV again and it doesnt work anymore well the sound works but the picture does not (and if i download it on a disc i can play it on my DVD player with picture and everything) now that doesnt happen with ALL the AMVs i download now but it does happen to a lot of them and its really annoying downloading it on a disc and trying to watch it on my DVD player when it doesnt even work on the dvd player (not all AMVs work on the dvd player i have even the ones that i can watch on the computer) so please help if you know anything i can do i would prefer if you emailed me at PaineStrife@hotmail.com if you know how to fix it BUT if you rather not thats alright just someone help

when you watch the video does it only show the "WMP visualization" thing?

What a codec does is compress the video, but inorder to play that video you must also have that codec installed (anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong)

either way: if its a "missing codec" issue...

this might be what youre looking for

ps usually near the bottom it will show messages if one of them is "error dowloading codec" when you start the player then thats the problem.
