Post by Perfect-Blue » Thu Mar 22, 2007 1:35 pm

I got this message : "unable to download an appropriate decompressor" for 2-3 sec, when i play something in Windows Media Player 6.4.The message dissapears, and the video goes on,but its annoying.I think, there is a fix in a specific codec pack, but cant remember wich one.

Im lookin for this pack/fix.Help,pls?

Windows Media player is a poor playback utility. If you do in fact have the needed codecs, Media Player Classic would work just fine. If you don't have the required codecs installed (and don't want to bother with codecs at all) simply using VLC seems to solve everything.
