AE 7 problem with my 3Dlayers / messed up after rendering

Post by BauziOLD » Wed Mar 21, 2007 5:14 pm

So I took my clips and changed them into 3D layers. Preview looks good, everything fine, but when I render those clips: AE messes up the settings. I don´t know if the output is just 3D with wrong settings or badly crooped (I can´t really see it out). The fact is that I definatly don´t need wrong clips.

The only settings I set were to change the layers into 3D layers. Did I forgot to change a setting for the output?
Uhm... The 3D layers are paired with 2D stuff if this helps you.

This may be irrelevant but I had a similar problem when I tried making wall in AE with video clips.. the Aspect ratios where off on me try checking those.

The aspect ratio is alright. I found at the composition, settings for 3D (I took now standard 3D and "finer").
Also I found at the rendering settings something that I changed into "All effects".

So now the system renders 3 hours instead of 8 minutes.
Wish me luck =/

Instead of rendering 3 hours I tried it with Photoshop output layers/files. The problem is still there.

I don't know why this happens, but you may try achieving this effect the other way (maybe it will render good with that - worth a try). Instead of changing layer into 3d, and adjusting the value add Perspective/Basic 3d. Of course it have less options than normal 3d setting, but judging from your screenshots it will do fine.

Ok it works.
Interressting: I want to do a bit more with the komposition so I pasted it into another komp. to overlay it with a filter. This time the whole komp. was messed up, but not only in output but also in the preview window.
No problem, because I can render out a clip and work with it instead, but this is just strange =/

Thanks again for all the help
