If you can name ten or fifteen people or groups who possess that kind of magnetism, I bet I can show you ten or fifteen people who never really cared about popularity.Banass wrote:Maybe that it is just me, but it seems that being known on this site is kind of hard.
It is always the same 10-15 creators who attracts all the others. Everything they create is great/fabulous/marvellous, just because they have made 1 or 2 hits in the past.
New AMV makers don't have to be ignored. Support would be more appreciated.

Which is generally bullshit. There are just too many videos released nowadays for even the good ones to get consistently noticed. Some people can get noticed without being active, but it's rare. You've got to whore yourself out, while being modest and willing to praise the AMV gods. A sacrifice or two wouldn't hurt. Make sappy romance videos and apply to RDS. Tried fellatio? Suck it up and be a yes-man. If you like popular videos, you must have good taste, so you must make good videos. Ask for beta testers, personally, makes them feel special. Then if your editing is okay, they'll be sure to proclaim that they beta tested your video, and that'll draw in people who read your announcement thread.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:They're going to tell you, "Make a good video and you'll get noticed."
What else...? Fanservice. Make a fanservice video, send it to a convention. Pay attention to what gets reactions, then steal those ideas. There are other ways, I'm sure.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I always thought that you were famous for being <s>anal</s> entusiastic about compressing your audioScintilla wrote:I always reply to this with "conventions" (hey, it worked for me), but looks like that's already been covered this time.
