Since AMVs are illegal, and the 'org is an organisation dedicated to them, could one reasonably refer to this website as a Criminal Syndicate?

well if you assume that all the above said is true then i suppose you could say that it is a criminal sydnicate.
But since amvs are not currently illegal (or at least not in a way that anyone in the government cares) it's a mute point. I actually brought up the question of fan made videos using existing music and footage in class and it was decided they were not illegal so long as they were not sold or used for profits.
The org doesnt sell anything and is non profit so that settles it.
