Cliched indeed.

But I am going to keep watching. People (those who have read the manga people, that is) say it gets more interesting, and I think the art is at least satisfactory (when in battle

) and there is blood and I like my killings...so... yeah.

Also I haven't really found any other animes that *I* would consider interesting for this season (well, Darker than BLACK does seem interesting but first ep subbed is not out yet

).

But this anime, judging by the first ep and no manga because I have not read it, is decent so far. Not horrible and not awesome.

I think I can live with decent until something else comes along.

At least the OP and ED didn't suck too much

Voice of Clare... VERY nicely fit...

I'm sick of people comparing this anime to that anime. If you didn't know already, 90% of anime is based off of something and is very RARELY original [manga counts as a basis btw...]

"Vampire Hunter D with a girl"

Ok, what's that make Trinity Blood? You got a vampire that hunts Vampires, and when pissed, transforms into a much STRONGER form of himself... [sound familiar?] and then slams into his foes as if invincible...

I will say though, cliches aside, there are anime that do cliches well [in my case Girls Bravo] and those who can't... [Maze Megaburst, they did every cliche known and that alone killed it, though I tolerated it due to humor]

Perhaps we should start a 'cliches in anime' post, that way, I can rant in there! ^_^

All joking aside, I'm lovin' this anime and can't WAIT to see next ep. I wonder [though highly unlikely, which is a disappointment to me] if Clare will get any romantic interest? Obviously this 'guy' won't be nearly as strong as her since all the Claymore [currently] are gals...

well i dont think im wrong with my comparison based of the first ep .

it wasn't meant as a derogatory comment - I recently have been reading the Vampire hunter D novels and immediantly noticed likeness - thats all.

the cliche moments are more to do with the story of the first ep. Protaganist called into the village because of monster - slays monster or 2. It was just a rather standard introduction episode to the anime.

I hope it gets better because this sort of stuff is my favorite genre.

Well Purge, if it helps, the manga readers said it starts out as generic but as soon as someone called Theresa or something like that comes along, it apparently just because pure awesome and then gets better as it goes *shrugs*

So anyone who wants to take a guess at why Clare let whiny-kid along with her? I'm betting he reminded her of someone because she still has half her heart ro something

And i hope Clare won't get any romantic interest. I'm not that fond of romance

But it's Madhouse doing this series, right? So I am having high expectations its gonna be a good ride.
