I wouldn't feel bad. This has been a good experience for us all to consider all the points that have been said. And to respect others opinions. Always learning something new. :D

This thread has also shown how people take this stuff too seriously.

sigh
so....what do I call Grave of the fireflies? If "cartoon" is supposed to mean a satircal, funny, or oversimplified animated production to an American audience what should I call something serious in english?
Ever hear the term animated feature or animated series?

I know I swore of replying but the shallow-mindedness forced me to instruct. It's the GTG in me.

Just as long as we're clear on things, then no one should ever call them cartoons from now on....cause their not....cause someone else said so...take heed people.

Minor rant here, just fighting the good fight for literate DBZ fans everywhere. This only refers to blue_ocean_waters and others like him, no one else. :)

Some people seem to believe that watching Anime gives them the right to act like asses. After watching what is considered to be real Anime (which I happen to like) they decide that they can pass down judgement on what they consider to be lesser Animes and fans the lesser Animes. For you people I have only one punishment.

*Engar shakes his finger of you*

I disapprove of you, so there. :P

OMG damnit why is it that everytime i read one of clara yusi's or whatever the fuck her name is posts, I feel like...gayness waves radiating from the monitor?Btw clara, please change your picture on the left of your message, whatever the fuck they're called. That girl, whoever the hell she is looks like such a slut it isnt funny. Alright to the point, some of you monkeys need to be put back in place. Let me start from the beginning:

1. Face it, the only damn reason you refuse to let anybody call your pathetic lives (anime), cartoons, is because the term "cartoon" (as some people have mentioned) sounds stupid, childish, immature, and denotes the image of a little kid on a Saturday morning. If american cartoons were full of blood, gore, emotion, plot, whatever, you wouldn't mind anybody calling your precious life (anime) cartoons. As a matter of fact you'd be DAMN proud to let ANYBODY know that you watch CARTOONS, a form of entertainment too full of emotion and blood, too complex, too mature for the rest of society **SIGHHHH**.

2.Alright monkeys, now I'm going to give you all something to think about...Some people have lives...Yes you heard me, and I know most of you can't relate, but it's true, some people have lives. Some people, after a long day of work or school, enjoy just sitting down to RELAX, and watch a childish, simple, plotless AMERICAN CARTOON (I can't relate, but I know A LOT of people do this). Isn't it painfully obvious to you yet?Everybody in this world doesnt want to watch a highly depressive, extremely complex and emotional "masterpiece". Why? Because these people have lives. They have other things to think about. These people would rather just sit back and get a good laugh out of something ridiculously "childish and stupid", than spend the next month pondering "what did this or that character mean when she said 'blablablabla' during that highly emotional moment where everyone died and where everyone was crying and..." BLABLABLABLABLA. Everybody doesn't want to grow a complex over "the end of eva" or whatever the hell it is. Everybody isn't a a poor depressed fuck who needs some deep, emotional cartoon (*sigh*, or anime if you prefer) to which they can relate. Has any of this ever come across any of your feeble minds?

And with that said, I think many of you diehard anime fans are in dire need of some prozac.

Sorry to double post, but I have one lasy point.

DBZ is set far in the future and the people in it do have strange features (Krillen for instance has no nose.) Or, if you started watching from Dragon Ball its set a long, long time ago.
