  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

That video was fun, I did really like the song. I just didn't like the custom watermark on the vid...

What's the point of using that format then?

MP4 != h.264 encode inside. You can stick an xvid encode in it if you really wanted.

Even so, a h.264 encode @ 94MB vs an Xvid encode @ 94MB would be benefit of quality rather than size saved, assuming it was properly compressed of course.

Dewd, that was hot. I haven't seen the anime, so I cant judge story and such, though there seems to have been a theme and story and such. Great atmosphere, and kickass editing, I wubbed it. *thumbs up*

Weird, it seems that no one here likes watermarks. I think they are important because newbies tend to rip the movie and just slap their music over it. Also I think it adds a personal touch to your video and it's fine as long as it is not in the way of the video.

NOS, I already left my review at GT but like I said, Exellent job on this video!
I do it for the love of the game.

They're distracting, and general bad style.

Anyway, not bad editing. You did kinda abuse the shatter effect, and you quite obviously used fansubs source (otherwise the funky AR makes no sense).

I'll have to watch it more closely before I can offer commentary on the narrative itself.

quality
most of the effects (over use of black and white and shatter)
rain effect in particular (including bits where there was "rain" when there was a clear sky as well as "rain" inside... IT MAKES NO SENSE!)
editing was a big  i really liked the editing towards the end, it was spot on.

feel a little meh about this video, it has its ups and downs but I guess I was a little disappointed cause I've seen better from you.

I'm not saying its your fault and that you encoded it wrong, I'm saying that the quality of your source footage doesn't do your video much justice. DVD > fansubs...

Imo, you overdid it with the rain effect. Although, the word does get repetitive in the lyrics, that doesn't mean you have to use it in more than half of the scenes.
If your storytelling is good, lyrics sync can be avoided in most of the cases.

Other than this, I didn't have any problems while watching it. It was a good video and I really loved the anime, so I'm keeping this one
