Hm ...i don't know if i like naruto or not, the main character was fucking annoying, but the setting was rather interesting i found, it WAS really mainstream built so that made it a bit more annoying. But i saw the first ep of that other new series, and it looks decent. But i'm still on the line of whether i like it or not.

Naruto lied to me. I was faithful for a year and a half getting nothing but fillers, and as a man I have needs, and Naruto just didn't want to fulfill those needs, so I had to break up with it. Now its come back begging to be taken back, but no... *just got a great idea for an amv... maybe*
I put it in her butt,

I'm one of those who stopped watching at around episode 160. It was the fillers, mainly, but also frustration becauseGreggus1 wrote:...especially with Shippuden gettng stronger every episode, after a slow start
A) It's too fucking slow
B) Noone cares what happened when the villain was a kid, he'll be dead in a minute. I mean 10 episodes.
and C) Recycling, Flashbacks and cheap filler in canonical episodes.
This had been going on from the very start, and I already realized I was really watching Dragonball when they were fighting Zabusa around episode 10.
But there is something about this series that makes you forgive most of that. It's just likable, and you really do wanna keep watching anyway.
So now that you know where I'm coming from, I have a question;
Is your claim about Shippuden true? Because I watched the first 3-4 episodes of it, and it looked just as bad as it did when I gave up on the first series. And seeing as I've done fine without Naruto for the past year and a half, I see no reason to waste anymore time on it.
But you're saying the 5 episodes that's followed are showing some improvement? This means I might just have to check it out then.

Normally, in society people want to like what everyone else likes, but with certain things like anime if something is popular, huge fanbase, then it is not liked as much, or as I like to think, tainted. I have my own theories to why that is, but Naruto, being for the main stream is highly addictive and hatable for that reason. Any theories on why this happens with popular anime?

You really put it right. And yes, the episodes are steadily reaching the pace and intensity of the very best we've seen. The first double episode was a sort of transition phase, where the animation was finally consistent, but the story still seemed messy. The second double episode rocked my socks off. And after today's episode, I haven't been able to stop smilingKaysow wrote:I'm one of those who stopped watching at around episode 160.
