cs3 disscusion

I believe the CS3 stuff makes up the vast majority of programs that will benefit from more than 2 cores on a processor right now. So how many of you all have a quadcore?

Photoshop has improved a lot . Nows its faster ~46% , has a lot on new awesome features like smart filters , but most of them aren't really needed for making amv , the product it's self was improved for professional photographers and they are the ones that can notice all the benefits of it .

I haven't tried premiere cs3, but I am looking forward . I hope they have done some nice improvements , but I am not even hoping that they will improve it's export.

Yeah it will take more advantage of the dual core, which in previous versions people have complained about it not doing. Being able to sync sound in aftereffect would make it a complete program for me, sometimes I much prefer to edit just in that!

That's also what I think, but sometimes we get no choice in the matter. After I got my new computer this winter, I found out that PP6.5 couldn't be installed on an x64 system: there is some compatibility problem with its installer, which means that even though the program would work fine (and fast!), it simply can't be installed.

That's what forced me to upgrade to PP2.0. I just wish I'd known about that before making the big buy. *sigh*

I'll wait until my comp's guarantee has expired, then will try reinstalling everything under Win2K to see if it makes any difference and if I can go back to 6.5.

All that to say, I'm not about to upgrade to CS3!
