codec

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden, whenever I try to import wma or wmv files, it says "..... cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again." since my dad took away administrative privileges from me so I can't download anything. I did check the download codecs automatically box. So do I just wait or something? wma and wmv files are what I mosty have

here is what happens when I try to download the codec :"...could not be imported. The current permission settings do not allow you to download and install the required codec. Please contact the system administrator."

You need administrative priviliges on your computer to download anything. Which means you'll have to get yer dad to do it for you.
