Hey, I want to know how should I get started. I got a new HP laptop running windows media center. I got Sonic software on it. Nother question, where can i find cool anime, like only one show, not abunch of shows on one amv?

1) Just watch some other vids (preferably better ones) then pick up some things to show you how to edit well

2) I can only imagine(sorry to say) That you want amvs with more then one anime to steal clips since your a noob, Unless you already have all that then sry.
But look towards some MEPs for Multiple animes.

Do you mean anime, as in the actual anime, or AMVs with only one show in them? If you use the .org's search function on the Members Main Page, you can look for whatever you want and likely find a video to it. If you mean anime footage, it is against the Forum Rules to ask where to download anime. There are several legit websites from which you can buy anime, though, if you look around.

Yes, for God's sake READ THE GUIDES. So few people wanting to get into this hobby do such a thing. Heck, I still find the guides to be an invaluable resource.
