What anime would you show to your parents?

My parents?

-Cowboy Bebop the movie
- Perfect Blue
- Princess Mononoke

as for friends and such it depends on what kind of genres they like...

For example when i converted my one friend, i made him watch excel saga, cause he likes slapstick comedy...he can't get enough of it..
etc etc...

well if you wanted to scare them off so that they would stop talking to you about you "japaneese animation" or"japanmation" or worst yet
"these cartoons" show them FLCL.

Seriously though here are my picks for each catagory, that are relitevly easy for a parent to understand

Comedy- those who hunt elves
serious-some miyazaki films , samurai X
child like-Kiki's delevery service
drama- Kare kano, fruits basket
Action-Gundam Wing,
Sci-fi - Outlaw Star

Above all of these i STRONGLY RECOMMEND Arjuna, this is a revoulutionary anime that is almost to beatiful for words, and what makes it even better is the fact that Yoko Kanno-son did the music for it(she did Bebops' music). also for the die hards out there it has at least as much if not more technobable than Evangelion eventhough it only has 13 episodes.

Okay if I was suppost to show my dad any anime it would be

Comedy - Ranma 1/2 , Slayers
Serious - Princess Mononoke
Drama - none he doesn't like dramatic stuff
Action - Cowboy Bebop
Sci Fi - Outlaw Star

Those are the ones I probably show to him

I was once watching Perfect Blue when my Dad and then-12 Sister came in the room and joined me.

I warned them about the rape scene, but they stayed anyway.

Then, it came up.

I think I unintentionally warped my sister...

So, not Perfect Blue is what I'm saying.
