Again, I think it depends on the type, some things look better as manga and some as Anime, you can get different results for things like Action or Comedy for Manga and Anime also with Manga you cant get the same sounds or music effects as you do with Anime

Eh? YGO anime has better devoloped characters, better plot, awesome filler, and more violence. The manga is pretty tame compaired to the anime.. which is odd since it's usually the other way around.Yu-Gi-Oh: Manga>Anime
All other titles in Shonen Jump: Manga>Anime
As for the others.. depends.. I prefer One Piece since the fights are better animated.

Very good question.
Something I've always had against anime series is that they make way too many changes...they add characters, remove characters, change character appearances, or COMPLETELY change a character's personality, which annoys me to no end.

It really depends.
On some series, the manga and anime versions are about the same in my book.
Action/ fighting series are (IMHO) better done in animation. The motion lines in the manga are confusing.
I buy mostly manga, (because it's cheaper). If i really like the manga, i'll look around for the anime of it.
I'm a manga girl, really.
AND PROUD OF IT!
but the reason i became a manga girl in the first place is because i'm a cheapskate... and manga is cheaper...

Except, for some reason, Banana Fish. That manga costs £££s :Ohyperchica11 wrote:It really depends.

heh, I usually don't buy manga...
in manga stores in Japan you can just walk in and read for hours, no one cares 8) And the used manga stores are super cheap. I bought Love Hina for 2300 yen. The entire series.
However, I wouldn't reccommend you Hmanga lovers buy used manga...ermm..yeh...
My record for being in a store the longest was around 4 hours I believe.

Kenshin's manga puts the anime to shame...
