Nah, I wasn't downtalking Akamatsu's work, I was just stating a fact, or, at least an apparent fact.got2maskit wrote:BLASPHEMY!!azulmagia wrote:It's basically a Harry Potter ripoff with loads of kawaii fan service, but I want to know if it's any good and if anyone is licensing it any time soon.
How dare you downtalk Akamatsu's work!
Anyway I bought volume one on Boxing Day, and it's GREAT. I think that Negima has potential to be greater than Love Hina.
Actually, they're all supposed to be 14 year olds in Junior High. The entire class is a mixed bag, about half are pretty juvenile looking to be honest, but a few are drawn like young women. (Like the difference of Kaolla and Shinobu vs. Motoko and Naru in Love Hina) My personal favourites are Nodoka Miyazawa (new avatar) and Ayaka Yukihiro.Mroni wrote:The fact that it's fanservice involving high schools girl is one of the main selling points of the manga. How else could I wack to it?
Nodoka reminds me of Sailor Mercury...
