Akira's got a little too much action... if your not happy with it it's not fan service and vica versa.CaTaClYsM wrote:I know, there are plenty, grave of the fire flies, princes mononoke, and...

Actually I was refering to the nudity
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

that was my thought b4 fanservice came in... but the slayers -Naga really doesn't have fanservice, less magic itself is fanservice (like mechas) or girls themselves, but I figure if they're not 'scantily clad' than it shouldn't be. Though again fanservice literally would be anything that a fan would like.... an oxymoron really cuz he/she wouldn't BE a fan if s/he didn't like it lolo ;-p.Alucard_FoN wrote: Now bear in mind, I haven't actually SEEN Slayers, but it looks to be full of fanservice.

Well I don't know the point of this (I guess who cares if there's one).
But what if you took colour out of art (not just anime art)?
95% of the art would be gone at least.
What if you took the letter e out of the English language, or vowels?
Obviously, it is too some extent foolish to even ask, these aren't the greatest analogies, but they analize the pointlessness of such a question.
But if you enjoy pointlessness (believe me I do as much as the next guy), then go right on ahead.
Don't fool yourselves that its anything else though (heck this might apply to more than we think )

Actually it has a point, that alot of anime, good or bad, is unoriginal.

As opposed to the plethora of original programming we see on American TV and in the movies?CaTaClYsM wrote:Actually it has a point, that alot of anime, good or bad, is unoriginal.
I don't mind unoriginality so much as long as it's done well.

I never said everthing on TV was original either, but since the market is bigger there is a wider variety of shows.
