Well not really. Inserting just one straw wouldn't work so well, because the anus should usually seal pretty tight. You'd probably have to insert two straws so air could get in, if you really wanted to suck efficiently. Such an obvious flaw in the practice makes it look like a big sham to me.

I dunno...my experience with a good ream job shows you can have a pretty large gap for awhile if your tool is big enough...but I guess that hasn't been an issue for you.
