Yeah, I didn't know that Jesmaster's video was an "AMV" yet back when I first saw it... heck, it wasn't till recently that I even found out that he has this video hosted on the org among the other "AMVs"... I don't even know what actually pushed me into making videos to begin with... I might have been of the belief when I started that I was doing something uniqueBakadeshi wrote:I don;t remember my first ever, since I saw some that I didn;t know was amvs at the time, but the first that got me into this little hobby here was Kwasek's A thousand miles. And yes I still like it ^^

The first one I saw was a really old Cardcaptor Sakura video that just plain sucks now; it was in Real Media format, and I was stuck with 56K (at that time around 2001, I thought the concept of AMVs was really cool). It was really downloading most of Mirai MM's old videos that got me hooked which led me of getting hooked on CCS and later more anime.
And there you go! Cardcaptor Sakura was my gateway drug on anime and AMVs all together (which explains my tolerant on cute things)!

Well if I remember right the first video I saw was Rubyeye's | Darl Legacy video. I was really astonished when I first saw it. Shortly after this I was shown some others. If you want to know the first video one downloaded, that would be Astromutant's | Kintaro Juice video.

The first AMV I ever saw was jescaflowne's Spectacular Anime, although I wasn't really paying close attention the first time I watched it, because it was on a Suncoast TV while I was browsing around. Still, it's a great video, and it was also what led me to the 'org, iirc.

It was either Aluminum Studio's "Blue Mercury" or "Venus in a Bottle". I just happened on his site by accident, and was hooked.
