hate to play faves, but... first of all, can't leave any of the Journal Junkies' out -_- even if your not so great, like Shinodude -_-, Shino has improved TONS just by socializing here more, I'm sure, and that makes him and those like him as much a favorite as the rest. ;p Sorry I had to sacrifice you for the rest Shino lol, but really, your progress is stunning!

Anyway, on my own, I tend to favor videos by Bakadeshi, Fluxmeister, Corran, Silver_Moon and Sierra Lorna, and especially Aieli_Ileia (anything BUT the X-rape series...) and my very own Moonie -_-... oh and Chiikaboom and sisters, and SarahTheBoring, and the two Jens... three actually (Jenna, JenCM and Jen) cuz, you know, girls make the best amvs (narf....), these videos especially have a flow to them that just extend passed sinc!

Other creators I just respect are the ones that have the Technicalitys down, even to a very impressive degree, but their videos just... couldn't click with a horny backed lizard. Damned robots. This pretty much includes everybody else that doesn't include subtitles or DivX marks in their AMVs lol.

My favorite editors tend to be older ones, since my viewing's fallen off in the last few years (grad school eats time like there's no tomorrow). This short list is by no means exhaustive or in any kind of order, but includes most the editors that I'd grab any video by, regardless of whether I'd seen the source or not (I tend to avoid videos where I haven't seen the original, to avoid spoilers and to gain a sense of context).

Vlad G. Pohnert - He's been making music videos since I was six, and the experience shows. He can range from techstravaganzas like "A View to Kill" to simplistic-seeming but technically demanding works like "Transcending Love" to truly simple beauty like "Destined Souls" or "Classical Flight," and the video always hangs together as a work of art. I truly wish I had his eye for finding the perfect blend of scenes, effects, and timing.

Kevin Caldwell - Say what you like about him, his work, his post-AMV days, or the pedestal people tend to put him on, but his videos show he was a master of timing. Scene change, effect, or other edit, they were always exactly where they needed to be for the best effect.

Hsien Lee (Kusoyaro) - His early videos were my real introduction to AMVs, and I still enjoy pulling out his "Glory of Love" and "Kyoto Kombat" videos. Again, his senses of timing and scene choice are spot-on and something I aspire to in my own editing.

Tim Park (dokidoki) - Being funny is hard. Being consistently funny is nearly impossible. Somehow, he manages it. I do sometimes wonder what his take on a drama/romance or a drama/serious video would be like, but until he does one, I'll enjoy laughing at his comedies.

Duane Johnson - His videos are more that I found soon after being introduced to AMVs, and the fact that they're done without the use of most modern video editing software makes them that much more impressive. He mastered the use of multiple series to the best effect in his videos, and I still watch them frequently.

Well as for me there are tons of faves.... I won't explain it any further here, but go into detail considering the single editors.

Rubyeye - Well he is a legend and brought metal into the amv-community. His videos were not really special, but he was a flow-master. It is really hard to describe this, but his videos had the certain something that made them unique.

Ingow - A beautyful mind. His concepts are alwayas so original and thoughtful that I am just forced to name him here. Even though some quality problems are typical for him, his videos still stand for themselves. Moreover do they usually have quite a good moral.

Requiett - His videos are unique (or rare) as well. It is always nice to see the new effects taht came to usage ^^. It usually is a nice collection of different influences. In this videos one sees what is possible with the latest plug-ins :P. They might appear to be a test-area for those, but still it usually is a nice experience to see what he did.

Warheart - Okay, first off, he is my tutor, so I kinda learned how to edit from him. Another point why I like his videos quite much is the source combination. UNfoprtunately I am always used as a beta-tester, so I won't see a completely new Warheart-video.... Anyways, the combinations of Metal and anime are usually good jobs and my respect for him is also a motivation to name him here.

Tsukin - Syncgod. There isn't any other word I would choose to describe him using just one. His videos are usually actionbased, but his sync is overwhelming and other technical aspects (apart from fxs) are present as well. He usually uses power-metal, so that's another plus.

AtomX - The man has musical taste. 40% of my current collection has more than likely come from his suggestions. Not only that but the man can edit. I love his work and just wish he'd do more :?

Nessephanie - As i've told you many, many, times Liz, you are probably my favourite, if not most favourite, editor out there. In such a short period of time you've come so far and done so well. Your videos are some of the most rewatched I have.

Koopiskeva - I'm not talking about Euphoria :? i'm talking about Waking Hour, A Time For Us, Two For The Road, and, of course, Typically Lost Something Forever :o Kewp, you were the one to officially introduce me to Sigur Ros' music, and the one to give me the idea for Freefall, which was the first (and only) drama video i made that i liked.

and for fucks sake, Kevin Caldwell did NOT go Chuck Norris on ADs arse. What are you retarded?

Kevin Caldwell IS fucking Chuck Norris.
