There are still massive communities dedicated to supporting FCP and other Macintosh applications on the internet. Just look at http://www.dvcreators.net. They have sections for Avid/Pinnacle/Premiere, but most of their support is for Apple's suite.
if you spend money buying a mac and FCP just to make amvs... you are a fucking dumbass :| of course if you already have a mac, you'd be a dumbass if you bought a pc and premiere (or vegas)...

This is clearly what you need to make a decently serviceable AMV for the org.

fighting?? who's fighting? there's no spam being thrown around here.

In all seriousness, can I echo this sentiment? I see a tonne of animated series, but console games that ARE NOT FINAL FANTASY are seriously shafted.

I'm working on a couple of DDS videos, but more people need to get on board with doing game stuff. Even if it isn't Japanese and can't be posted here. I mean, look at Legacy of Kain. You could do INCREDIBLE stuff with those cutscenes (at least in the Soul Reaver 2 and later era). Don't get me started on Indigo Prophecy.

So yeah, need more love for console games.

Pwolf: I already had the Mac and FC Studio. I have a DVCam and do video projects professionally. AMVs are an aside, a hobby to keep my skills sharp and play with new ideas. Screw up an AMV, no big loss. Screw up a client's video, major loss.
Thou shalt not take orders from strangers on the Internet.

Thou shalt use whatever resources thou deemest appropriate to make thy AMVs.
