pretty much all the codecs you need are:
divx
xvid
ffdshow
x.264
huffyuv (lossless)
lagarith (lossless)
a fairly short list, easy to find using google
i will say sometimes yeah same question but they did know if you ask the same question, so better be watcher than talker okeiNerdStrudel wrote:is it just me or do ppl keep on asking the exact same questions?

Or you could simply do it right and not use lossy clips.Gefx2346 wrote:I had the same problem, just put a small clip into the middle of what you want to look at and delete it and press play, it really sucks when it starts messing up.

I was more thinking that the sticky was 4 years of enduring WMM's shit! Not so much an idiots guide.NerdStrudel wrote: Bad thing is though...it won't. cause ppl still ask about vegas and they stickied the idiot's guide to vegas thing.
And it seems that it lays crap on everyone, when I hit most of the roadblocks that keep popping up in this forum, I had no one to help me and hopefully some of the solutions I found through trial error and hitting my PC with a baseball bat and what others have offered up here can help newbie editors.
what do lossy clips have to do with crappy playback?BasharOfTheAges wrote:Or you could simply do it right and not use lossy clips.
It has the same problems even with Huffy's.
You see WMM's not picky it just sucks in general.
