i have done that, will the AFS file work with windows movie maker or do i need to do more to the file. and i am using DGIndex for reference.sayde wrote:If the anime cut scenes from "Tales of Legendia" is all you want, then it's pretty simple. In fact, you don't even need to download a single program to rip them.
1.) Put the DVD into your DVD drive.
2.) navigate to the DVD's "AFS" folder.
3.) Drag the file called "MOVIE.AFS" onto your PC.
That's it. I mean there's a few things you could do to extract each movie from within the .afs file, but you don't have to if you don't want. You could just drag the file straight into DGIndex or Virtual dub mod to start converting them. Of course, it will then be up to you to split the movies up to your liking.
As for getting in-game attacks, you might be better off just capturing them from the game itself. I mean I suppose sites like boochsack might have what you're looking for, but even if they did, you know the quality is going to be terrible. So I wouldn't recommend it.

^^you can either load the .afs file directly into vitual dub mod, or use DGIndex first, then load the .d2v file it creates into virtual dub mod. It's up to you. If you don't care about all the technical details, simply import the file into Virtual Dub to convert the footage to .avi format. You should then be able to import your .avi footage into windows movie maker.
