  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I think it's funny that this videos would get way more feedback if they wouldn't be titled as IC but as stand alone videos.

... frog

EDIT:

Technically I do like Alex vid better, he did a slightly better job in the short time, though I can't tell how big his advantage considering edting-time and programm errors on Prod's side was.

Prod, you have a nice flow and a good mood in your video, therefor *thumps up*. Since I didn't come to see the .264 version yet, I can't tell whether or not I should scold you for visual quality, but I think your pretty much not at fault, remembering what you wrote on IRC ;) .

It was pretty close in the end and I actually do look forward to the second round of your IC.

SO HURRY THE FUCK UP! :P

Great jobs from both.
At the beginning of Prodigs video it was soft, but get very powerful at the middle and end.
Warhearts video have a long time a powerful action.
But for me there where in Prodigis video more epic scenes and fits really great to the song and make it a little bit better than Warhearts one.

AvC Iron Chef - Round 1: "Pariah" : Interesting work, it was nice to watch, effects are nice but I've found editing not enouh energetic, however it was good for an IC. 3.5/5

AvC Iron Chef - Round 1: "Top Gun" : I enjoyed, but Macross zero + Action in the sky is too exploited in amv, it's pity for originality. Nevertheless, I've taken pleasure to watch it. =) 3.5/5

I enjoyed them both. I think I like the "Pariah" video a bit better though.

This is the first and only time I'm gonna reply to the comments in this thread, simply because there are some great AWA videos being released, and I dun wanna clog up announcements by bumping this thread all the time.

Awesome. I love it when you watch a video with stuff you don't like but it's still awesome >.>

Glad we could do that for you :O

Liz always wins ;_; no fair.
Autraya wrote:*edits* well... wow  on both... i do prefer the burly one tho
Awesomesauce. But yer just saying that because I'm burly :>

Alex. Yer drunk :p And how does Sy tie in to all this? O.o I didn't even see her until after the 24 hour limit.
Lockstock wrote:Edit: Both videos were freakin awesomely done. Action syncing in cal's and general flow of alex's just made them both awsm in their own ways. My only beef was that alex's was mostly in black and white, think it would have looked better in colour.
Thanks Cal. I like Alex's in black and white tho >.> Gives it an interesting effect.

But what about meeeee? It isn't faaaair. I've had enough now I want my shaaaare.
Uh.... Thanks [for Alex] :> Its a very good piece of work for getting done in such a short period of time.
Tormentor wrote:I think it's funny that this videos would get way more feedback if they wouldn't be titled as IC but as stand alone videos. Since actually they are way better than 80% of the other announcments here altough they are edited in a short amount of time. And yeah, Alex' is more stable in terms of editing thus I prefer his, still Prod did a very good job. I'll hope for a 2nd round asap. :)

F R O G was awesome.

But yeh, IC videos kinda get pushed aside don't they? I can't talk tho, because I almost always skip them unless they're directly linked to me by friends too >.> Thanks Bernie.

Yeah, but I think mine has that feeling to it because the song fitted the theme a bit more than the one I sent Alex. So.... I thank his good song choice XD

Yeah, it really is, but I'd been meaning to do a Macross Zero vid for ages [not including my track for Reflections of Style 3], and an instrumental AMV, so I kinda killed two birds with one stone.

lol we just watcehd this after the paty on my HDVT and all people prefed Callans video ... see I suck ? :D

Edit:
To bad this first round turned out to be a major pile of technical problems and obstacles so the results aren't as good as they could be. I hope the 2nd round will be better than this one.

And Callan, you're beginning of the video looked exactly like Phoenix Rising, was that intended ? :D
