First video I've downloaded in over a year. I enjoyed it very much. Melted visuals. Very smooth, and visually relaxing. Beautiful editing, you two.

I liked the song as well, I might have to check out this minus.

Looks like I missed the banding. Otherwise very good impressionist video.

It was really nice and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of it, but I didn't care for the early effects as several people have already noted.

I just realized that I haven't really posted my own thoughts on this project, so I'll just briefly say something here. It was really cool getting to work with somebody in a real collaborative sense. (The video description has an explanation of how we did it.) What I'm most happy about is that we made the video come together even though we had two editors trying out a somewhat eclectic set of editing techniques. We experimented around but tweaked and fine-tuned each others' ideas, keeping in mind that everything had to fit in the overall sense of the video. I feel that the editing resulted here is more dynamic and interesting than in videos I've done before. This is an amv that you wouldn't really say is "my" style or "his" style, but still it's something that we could each readily identify as our own.

Hey Flint, glad you liked it! You should check out "Dr. L'Ling," "Knights," "Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse," and... well actually, Oto probably knows your musical taste a lot better than I do. :P Oooh, try "Broken China!"

Yeah, the first effect you see is basically there so that the panel effect later on doesn't stick out too much. We think that having it show up in the beginning balances things out a little more. You do have a point though - taken by itself, the intro would look better without the panels.

I. Fucing. Love. Minus. The. Bear. <33333333333 seattle ftw :ying:
My heterosexual love for this band makes me a little biased towards this AMV. In other words you probably could have taken a shit to this song and I probably would have loved it. But this really is good, not just my personal bias. Great job

Woo a JS video |:>
I liked more the song than what I would have expected, didn't turn out to be boring. One of my only complaints of the video would be the hard cut around 0.30 and maybe other one like that over other parts of the video; it's not a big of a deal but I thought that fading slowly to black and then cutting to black made it look a little spontaneous. Aside from that, I guess it's pretty hard to storytell a JS episode, let alone the story behind it, so I guess that the chosen scenes were pretty good. Also, the effects never felt unnecessary.

I liked it
