Relationships and Age Differences

This has turned into quite the debate....

Guess I can't complain about my brother and his gf...from what I heard, she had the IQ of a 10 year old....

Actually, the whole above/below 18 sex thing differs from state to state. GENERALLY, the law is it's illegal if there's an age difference greater than 5 years, provided the younger is 16 or up. (i.e. a 16 and a 22 can't, but a 16 and 21 can.) Of course, I suggest you check your state laws regarding statutory rape, if you want to learn more.

Now, if two people are in love and are both mature enough to deal with their feelings, respective age differences aside, then it's fine with me.

In terms of anime, I generally say people can create whatever they want, I just don't have to watch it. As long as it's fiction (and stays in that realm) then I'm okay with it.

Just remembered another mismatched anime couple - that lady teacher and Eriol from CCS. What is it with CLAMP and these huge age differences in couples? They use that a lot.

This is a pretty controversial conversation, ne? Although I may joke about this kind of thing, idon't necessarily support it:

if she's old enough to pee, she's old enough for me!
Old enough to bleed? Old enough to breed
If there's no grass on the lawn, roll her over and play in the mud!

Some things just strike me as utterly hillarious... though gross.

Like dead puppies.

I agree that sexual consent should be based on the choices of the people involved, it's just too bad that the ones involved often make hasty, uninformed decisions just out of sheer lust factor. lt's a shame, really. That's why l've decided to wait for marriage, so I don't make mistakes about certain things like that...it's also one of my most important beliefs/obligations due to my religious obligations. I just wish others would do the same, but I also realize that is something I can't realistically wish for...*sigh*

Well, this kind of subject is being mentioned in our today society and it makes big issue. We think moe f the political problems with age differences in relationships that of the relationship itself in anime. Is it that unaccepttable that two ppl fall in love? We look at it from a society point of view, and it makes it all technical with modern rules and laws about it. It's so annoying.

The problem with all of this is Love. When you feel it, isit love or is it just a feeling you get down there tha makes u want to get laid? when you look at someone, do you have real feels for him/her, or is it just a crush that will pass in time?

This kind of problem goes a lot deeper..........but that's just me and my logic talking.

dude Love is when you care alot for some1 and your not in a big rush to get them in bed, its like, you just want to be with them and spent time with them....

Lust is when you just want to bed them.

Lust is the drive to procreate. Love is the combo social need plus drive to procreate wrapped up in a bunch of fancy ass words.
