What a shock...

I've been watching AMV's for a long, long, time and through it all you were always in the background, nurturing this hobby.

Someday, someone will mention the your name and no one will reconize it. I will be watching and I will tell them of the man who created a catolog to organize AMV's and a ranking system to sort them. The man who created a forum for people to share ideas and make freinds, the man who pushed for the golden doughnut and made it happen when it seemed like even the dangling carrot was a utopian dream. I hope you stop by from time to time but even if you don't, you will be gone but not forgotten.

This hobby becomes more and more popular and I can think of three overarching reasons: The rise of non-linier editing, the growth of the internet, and you, Kris McCormic.

So long and thanks for all the memories.

Congradulations with the baby and good luck with your life. I wish the best for you and your family and can't thank you enough for creating this site.

Well, I have to say, I saw this coming, athough I didn't think it would be so soon.

What I said in the letter with my donations was what I meant, and I don't really remember all of it and it's really be a bother to type it up again(Even if I could find the rough draft! o.o)

All I've got to say is that if AMVs ever go down in hinstory, which they might be since this hobby is becoming so popular(much like fan-manga in Japan?) Everyone who can edit will know now and forever that you were the founder of AMVs.

And as such, your name will go down in History.

Parenting is a very difficult job, as you may know. And you're going to go through tough times. But just like you did with this site, you will pull through. And for that, you are one of the best people on the planet. I don't know about everyone else, but I aspire to have a character similiar to your's, in that you give and give and expect nothing in return, even though the people you give to are sometimes very greedy and leech.
Yet you give to them anyway.

That's what makes you memorable, even to the people who don't realize it.

Thanks to your site, as others have said, I have met new people, friends, possibly even the person I will be with for the rest of my life.
For these things, and my love of this hobby(which could have never been found without you and your forum full of people who help everyone), I can say that I love you.

I love you, because you've been there, behind the curtains, managing the workings of a small society formed by lots of different people.

And although others may not admit it, they love you too... As in, the family sort of love, since the org is really just a great, big, extended family.

Thank you Kris, for everything. You have made my life better.

I was struggling with Depression, and the org gave me my first journal. When people replied, even though it had nothing to do with AMVs, I learned I needed help. I have to say that my life has been truly affected by you, because if it were not for the things this site provided, I would probably not be alive right now.

Thank you again Kris...

And for the closing line...

If your having a kid being a father is FAR more important that some internet crap, you should atleast give your kid full attention for a few years =/ well not full but you know what i mean
Geez man. Cut the guy some slack. Remember that there are two people going to be taking care of the baby. When a couple has a baby (If they have a good relationship) they take turns. You have to. Otherwise one of them will go insane. I know this cause I have a 3-year old daughter. My husband and I took turns and much of my free time was spent on the net. And I also spent much of it just hanging out with my family. :)

Phade- Good luck. You'll enjoy being a dad. ::Thumbs up:: I know my husband loves it. :D My only regret in your leaving is that I wish you had answered my occasional emails so I could've gotten to know you.

Without this site I don't think I would won at ACEN. It's all because I was able to get feedback on my vids and learn from what others had done that I've come as far as I have. *Bows deeply* Arrigato gosimasu (Sorry if I spelled that wrong.)

.....Did that just sound frighteningly like some kind of stupid acceptance speech to anyone else?  Songbird21 no bakka.

...This...this...this is so sad...Phade really made me feel good about making an AMV...and now...leaving...? Argh...I'm still going to dedicate my AMV to him, as I've planned to for a long time, but for some reason, I have a feeling that it won't seem as heartfelt, because I have a feeling lots of people are going to...

...Darn it...I hope Phade watches my AMV, at least...

Thank you Phade for all your input and dedication to the site all these years.

I joined in Feb 2002 even though I started watching anime in 1999. this site has been the basis of all my AMV knowledge and without it I would never have gone into the video editing career.

I'm glad I found this site cause video editing is the one thing I'm always happy to do.

We'll all miss you and congratulations with Jr. on the way. I'm sure you'll be a great dad.

I'll most cerainly miss you and I'm sure the rest of the 170502 members will as well. :D
Cheers vir eers

Congrats. and best wishes. Sorry to see you leaving, for a while, but I know how much time and responsibility it takes (been there, done that: a few times).

Glad I got to meet you at Anime Detour, hope you can come in the future so we can see your addition to the ranks of anime fans. :)
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Come and join us on the tiny but fun forum at http://www.allanime.org

I'm a little late in replying to this, but I guess Phade will read it sooner or later (probably sooner with the little crybaby coming :P).

Phade is a man of few words (well, except for his be going away speech). He has captured the hearts of all AMV creators and fans around the world by building this site as a gathering for AMV creators. I believe this community has shown me friends that I probably would never have been able to find. Without this community I do not know what my life would have entailed, but I don't think I would ever want to find out.

I'm sure you'll have much more memories with your new child. Start teaching him about how to create AMVs soon, or else we'll kidnap him and brainwash him ourselves. It's heartfelt to see you leave, but we're all glad to be a part of your life.

Long live Phade Jr.!
