Vent Thread
So I'm eagerly waiting outside our employee bathroom. My coworker opens the door and does this arrogant summbitch roaring sigh of relief. And so I enter. I quickly take a seat. And a wave of pure ammonia and methane vikings invade my nostrils and rape my sinuses.
So here i am...in the VENT thread.

My vent is that I managed to make it all yesterday without finding this out, but didn't have time to watch the game, so needed to make it through today, then read this first thing this morning. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-Pwolf wrote:lol. So close D:Taite wrote:Giants won. Fml.

I'm so tired of having a headache every other fucking day. I can't get anything done, medicine doesn't work, I just have to ride it out.

Re: Vent Thread
I paid the minimum to keep our cable equipment today (and thus reconnect it), because the Charter guy came by our house earlier and said he was going to repo the items if we didn't. I have enough money in my account to cover the whole overdue bill, but why bother when I don't know how long I'll even have a house to use it in?
Also, a guy stopped by a few days ago attempting to repossess the car, because apparently Mom put the title up for a loan, which - surprise! - she couldn't pay back. I said she wasn't at home (she was hiding right around the corner), but he'll be back soon, I'm sure.
Fuck everything. I am never going to be able to get out of this house before that idiot crashes and burns her whole damn life.

Re: Vent Thread
One of my coworkers who was a close friend of mine was let go the other day. I didn't even know until right now.
But he's in good spirits and will take the opportunity to go to school and pursue his dream. It sucks that I won't get to see him at work anymore, but at least we can always hang out over a weekend and on facebook.
That's the 4th person my company got rid of since the start of 2012 and it's barely the start of Feb.
One day, I will be out of this heartless corporation.

Yeah, this sounds like a Migraine to me.Ileia wrote:I'm so tired of having a headache every other fucking day. I can't get anything done, medicine doesn't work, I just have to ride it out.
Have you tried getting your eyes checked? I found that many of my migraines were related to having too strong of an RX in my glasses and I was hyper focusing on everything, especially sitting in front of a computer screen all day. I don't remember you ever saying anything about corrective lenses, but I do know that eye strain is a major cause for headaches.
Have you looked into seeing a neurologist? If this is becoming a re-occurring thing that may be a good thing to look into. My neurologist really helped diagnose what in my life was causing my migraines and helped me work out a plan to stop them. I actually need to setup an appointment with one here soon just as a checkup.
I've been dealing with headaches for a good portion of my life, so I really do recommend getting yourself looked at. It's no fun and really is no way to live life just dealing with it.

Re: Vent Thread
Oh, I went through all that about 12 years ago, no luck. Went through various doctors, scans and prescriptions and it was more of a hassle than the initial headaches. Part of the problem is that I build up an immunity to medication, so they would just keep prescribing higher dosages. It was to the point of being ridiculous, like when I went in for a root canal and they gave me THREE shots to numb my mouth and I could still feel it when the dentist began to drill. They never figured it out and I didn't have money to waste on it (nor do I now), and I'd rather save medication usage for times when I might actually need it (like the dentist. )
