Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Wow, drama. Didn't expect that ...lol. I think they should have kept it going, they could have taken the plot in a new direction. (What? Secretly Haruhi wants a rival with powers similar to hers?! )
Also, I'm starting to realize just how Haruhi sees Asahina ... that's really fucked up. She doesn't even look at her like a human ... like she said, she's just her toy. I was hoping Kyon was gonna give her a good one. Stupid Izumi. : /
Also, Yuki is still awesome. And she's going to get more so. I'm interested to see where this talking cat thing is going ....

Thought it was pretty insane how Kyon fought back, saying she deserved a face full of fist.

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Isn't that the first time in the entire series where they dispensed with the opening sequence for an episode that WASN'T the last one of its arc?

Well, rape punishment is at least in the doujins.... [ack]
In any case, it should be somewhat obvious that if Kyon does fist Haruhi's face, the world would end perhaps? Would have been cooler if he got into a scuffle with Koizumi though. Then when they're both done beating the shit out of each other, perhaps something else [or the same thing] would end up happening...
If only they knew...

Woah! Plot development?! Trust nobody. And more Yuki X Mikuru :3
There's still a bunch of episodes left, so I'm really curious to see how this is going to turn out. If all goes well, this might rival Evangelion as far as epic anime goes.

You do realize that the episodes left are the s1 eps, right?guy07 wrote:There's still a bunch of episodes left, so I'm really curious to see how this is going to turn out. If all goes well, this might rival Evangelion as far as epic anime goes.

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Doesn't the Sighs arc have to end first? Also, I'm really wondering if they're going to change anything about Episode 00 when the show it after the arc's over, because all the dramatic import of Haruhi's first appearance is kind of gone now that it's no longer the first episode.mirkosp wrote:You do realize that the episodes left are the s1 eps, right?guy07 wrote:There's still a bunch of episodes left, so I'm really curious to see how this is going to turn out. Number 14 or whatever the hell you want to call it has arrived and it's oooooover.
Yep, it actually ends (I just watched it I know).
The thing is, it ends, but the ending is in the beginning? or is it the middle, because seen in logical order (as if that term will ever make any sense in this show), the last show preceeds the showing of 00, but by my guess 00 can also be called I think 11 from season 1 (yes it's confusing).
But I do know, that the end of 14 2009 does indeed qualify as a conclusion to 2009, and its ooooover. You'll know what I mean when you watch it.
Season 3, I currently haven't a clue how they will ever make that fly considering the jumbled mess the eps of seasons 1 and 2 are now. That is, if the sales of endless eight have not already effectively killed this show for good in the first place. Man 4 dvds and all the same show, just so you can get a few Sigh arc eps after it.
But it was an interesting ride, and I still really like my Haruhi cloth wall scroll. Of course I do, a cute school girl coming through the image of an opening in the wall beside me is hard to beat
